Age Suitability
Effective 7 September 2026
PEP Social is for adults. This page explains who the app is for, how the minimum age is enforced, what the content is, and how it is moderated — written for parents, reviewers and members who want the specifics rather than a rating badge.
On this page
1. Who PEP Social is for
PEP Social is a community for adults who share first-hand experiences, questions and progress related to research compounds and protocols. It is an adults-only service: you must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to create an account or use the app.
The app is not designed for, marketed to, or knowingly made available to anyone under 18. Its App Store age rating reflects that it discusses substances and health-adjacent topics and is restricted accordingly.
2. How the minimum age is enforced
Age is enforced at the point an account is created, before any content is visible:
- Date of birth is required. The account form cannot be submitted without a full date of birth.
- Under-18 dates are rejected. A date of birth that gives an age below 18 blocks account creation with a clear message. There is no "skip" and no way to proceed without it.
- Age is calculated, not self-labelled. The app derives age from the date of birth each time it is checked, rather than trusting a stored "over 18" flag that could go stale.
- The requirement is stated in the Terms. Section 12 of the Terms of Use and Disclaimer makes 18+ a condition of using the service, and creating an account is an affirmation of meeting it.
What this is, honestly: a required, self-declared date of birth with a hard block below 18. PEP Social does not perform identity or document verification. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.
3. What the content is — and is not
Members post written experiences, short video clips, comments and direct messages about protocols they are running or researching. The community exists so people can compare notes.
Three rules shape everything on the platform:
- No selling, sourcing or brokering. Offering to sell or supply any compound is prohibited everywhere in the app, including direct messages. Violations are tracked as strikes against the account and lead to removal.
- No medical advice. Nothing on PEP Social is medical advice, and members are reminded of this when they post. The app includes a reference glossary and a personal dose log; both are informational and record-keeping tools, not guidance.
- Experiences, not instructions. The platform is built around what individual adults report, not around telling anyone what to do.
The app contains no advertising, no gambling, no adult sexual content, and no way to purchase any substance.
4. How content is moderated
- Automated review before publishing. Every written post is screened by an automated moderation step before it goes live, which blocks off-topic and unsafe content and content that reads as selling.
- Sell-filter and strikes. Language consistent with selling or sourcing is flagged; repeated violations accumulate strikes that suspend and then remove the account.
- Copyright enforcement on video. Clips containing copyrighted audio are removed; three strikes ban the account.
- Creator gating for video. Only verified members can post video clips, which keeps the highest-reach format curated.
- Human review. Reports from members are reviewed, and bans and strikes are applied by the PEP Social team.
5. Controls every member has
- Report any post, clip, comment or message from within the app.
- Block any member. A block hides both directions — the blocked account can no longer see, message, follow or interact with the person who blocked them.
- Control direct messages. Message requests from members you do not follow can be accepted or declined.
- Delete the account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes the profile, posts, clips, comments, messages and dose history.
6. Age data and privacy
- Date of birth is stored in a private record that only the account holder can read. It is never shown on a profile, in the feed, or to other members.
- Age is used only to enforce the minimum age and, optionally, to tailor what the feed shows. It is not sold or shared with advertisers — there are no advertisers.
- Health-related information members choose to enter is covered by the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and the Privacy Policy, including the right to withdraw consent and have it deleted.
7. Questions and reports
If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, or you have a question about this page, contact us through the app (Settings → Help and support → Contact support) or by email at support@pepsocialapp.com. Reports about a minor are treated as a priority.
